Laugh it up, fuzzball.

So I stayed up late to watch Voyager reruns on the Space network, and John Rhys-Davies is guest starring as Leonardo DaVinci. That's kind of weird. I always think that it's funny to see him full sized and not all Gimli-like. I really shouldn't stay up so late just to watch a show that I could see on DVD, but I do. It's these appointments with my tv that sometimes make it seem like I have people to see ... except the tv doesn't get mad if I stand it up.

So yes, it's been a bad month for my blog here. November tends to be an awful month for that sort of thing, I think. I mean, if you have to mark papers and that sort of thing. I feel like I've marked and marked and marked, and there's still a big pile left. Still, I know that it could be worse, so I'm only kind of sort of complaining, but not really complaining at all. Anyway, last week my boyfriend was visiting from Iowa as well, so that was pretty exciting and the only time spent in front of the computer was time I had to spend.

In knitting related news, I've only got a half a sleeve left on Rogue. That's pretty darn exciting, although I still have to do the iCord edging as well. Today I've made some pretty good progress on the Mermaid Socks that are intended as a gift. I am feeling very optimistic about being able to finish them for Christmas now, although maybe not for December 11, which is when I am leaving town and so would be the last date to gift them before Christmas. The Monk Satchel has been completely neglected. It's still sitting neatly in the bag that I put it in when I tidied for Toby's arrival. Will get back to that possibly after Christmas. I have to start a tea cosy for Toby soon. I'm going to make him one with a pirate skull on it. Have to get back to finishing Charlotte for my mother as well! Here's a look at the Mermaid sock. I am totally going to make a pair of these for myself as well.

I think that I am going to have to rip back my first sleeve on Rogue, unfortunately. I didn't do the last vertical double decrease right and I think that it looks pretty awful. I'll probably just make a third sleeve since I've got so much of the yarn. Okay ... off to knit some more.
