The Demise of the violent State - and the Rise of - Voluntary America
ISN'T IT ABOUT TIME TO REALIZE THE AMERICAN DREAM?
You own yourself, and you make decisions for yourself. As Aristotle pointed out over 2300 years ago, humans are creatures of reason, rational animals. Thus, we are capable of running our lives as we see fit, and acknowledging others' ability to do likewise.
Instead of the State and the all-too-common problems it creates, let's foster a society of complete liberty. Let's allow the tremendous ingenuity of a truly free marketplace of goods, services, and ideas provide for all of us - while fully respecting our lives and property.
A voluntary America is about reclaiming ourselves, our fundamental dignity as unique persons, and living life to the fullest, in accordance with the principle of individual rights. Why should we have ever settled for less?
The Obviousness of Anarchy
by John Hasnas
An Essay explaining the necessary reality of a society without government.
Better yet, stick this in your iPod, and Listen to the podcast: ![]()
Whether government is necessary is not an abstract metaphysical question. It is an entirely practical question concerning the delivery of goods and services. The defenders of government argue that certain goods or services that are essential to human life in society can be supplied only by a government. Anarchists (Voluntaryists) deny this.

It has a bit of liberal bias, but still very funny.

Lew Rockwell - anti-state, anti-war, pro-market
Steve and Rick both check out the commentary here, most every day. Indispensable.

Where Tricks buys lots of music equipment.

An excellent online anarchist magazine. A top favorite of Rick's.
"What is called politics is comparatively something so superficial and inhuman,
that practically I have never fairly recognized that it concerns me at all." ~ Henry David Thoreau

Great commentary. The name says it all.

Steve doesn't get time to read his favorite drumming magazine much, just browse the web site.
Highly Recommended by Rick:
Free Market / Voluntaryist / Libertarian / Anarchist Sites -
A genuine anarchist doesn't want to rule anyone, except himself.
"Anarchy doesn't mean what you think" Rick says, "anarchy isn't chaos, anarchy isn't violence, anarchy simply means 'no rulers'. Everything that is done by governments can be done much better and much cheaper by free individuals with the freedom to create, trade, and associate peacefully with those they choose".
The Anarchist Alternative - ![]()
Pro-government teachers, preachers, beneficiaries, lawyers, journalists and employees all insist that the word "anarchist" means one who favors "chaos" and violence. That is a LIE.
It is not just a lie, it is the opposite of the truth; for it is government that causes chaos and violence.
