First Paid Band Gig - 1968 - Byron Center Roller rink, I was 15 years old in a band named "The Sunn", We got paid 5 dollars apiece

Early Musical Influences - My drum instructors at Farrows Music, REO, Tull, Led Zeppelin, Keith Moon (The Who) Alan White (Yes), Bill Bruford (King Crimson), Genesis
(Phil Collins was by far the biggest influence on me, besides Rick - of course)

First Rock Concert - The Bee Gees with an orchestra -Lonely Days tour (before SNFever) at The Civic Auditorium G.R.

First Paid Band Gig - 1973 Dorr School gym I was 15 with Rick Nelson & Gary Niemchick, we called the group Hot Iron. Paid $10 each

Current Musical Favorites - Yes, Dream Theater, King Crimson, Fates Warning, Aerosmith, some alternative like Nickelback, Trapt, & some country- Garth, Shania, Dixie Chicks

Day Job - Owner/Operator Dick's Market, Dorr (we'll be expanding soon!)

Other Interests - Tammy, my wife & my 3 daughters, NHL, NFL, NASCAR, Playing golf - even though I suck. Surfing the web reading Individual Freedom essays, & dabble a bit @ ebay.

First Paid Band Gig - Helped with equipment for free with Patchwork band. Eventually started getting paid around 1975. Probably got $10 the first time.

Tricks Start Date - Started Playing Bass for Tricks in January, 2008

Birthdate - August 17, 1959, Lansing

Hometown - Middleville

Early Musical Influences - ABC TV's "In Concert". Janis Joplin, Rod Stewart and the Faces, Bad Co., ZZ TOP, Rush, Aerosmith (huge), Mott the Hoople, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Ted Nugent, Tommy Bolin, Edgar Winters White Trash, Deep Purple, Queen, Rory Gallager, Humble Pie, The Guess Who, Peter Frampton, Alice Cooper (again, huge) and my friend Dan who taught me how to play. (Thanks Dan!).

First Rock Concert - 1975 Ted Nugent at Ford Field House (Grand Valley State Campus). The sonic aspect of that concert with the feedback and sheer volume threw my equilibrium off so far that I felt drunk even though I was 100% sober.

First Paid Band Gig - 1975 - Kelloggsville High School (Junior High Dance). I was 15 (almost 16!). the bands name was "Bad Newz". Two Guitars, Drums and Vocals (me). No Bass Guitar. We got paid $15.00 between the four of us, I still have the check stub.

Current Musical Favorites - Foo Fighters, Scorpions, Sass Jordan, Tito and Tarantula, Jet, The Eagles and Zakk Wylde. I also have a lot of respect for My Chemical Romance even though I don't listen to them as much as my daughter (I also do not wish to marry the lead singer).

Day Job - SoundTech Inc. - Quality Manager. We supply insulation for Acoustic and Heat Management applications in the Automotive, Office Furniture, Industrial HVAC Appliance and Residential Construction industries.

Other Interests - Spending time with my Wife Debbie. Our Granddaughter, Nieces and Nephews. Our Dogs, Trinity and Spirit, they are good little souls. Camping, Bonfires, Politics of all kinds and watching movies (mostly Sci-Fi, Action Adventure and Mid-evil stuff).
