KQED Covers State's Release of Voter Email Addresses


The Secretary of State's office not only says they didn't release voter email addresses (read the twisted logic!), but has no plans to stop the practice. In the meantime, there is simply no universal recourse for those of us whose email addresses have been released into the wild.

California Registrars Aid Spammers?


When California residents register to vote, they're asked for an email address presumably to help the state maintain accurate rolls. Some campaigns have seized on this as way to spam voters.
