Sue broke out the mixer and the flour and shaped it towards
the mood of the day. We decided to try a free-form and a pan mold.
I fired the egg and broke out the virgin round stone. I set
a grill on the fire ring with two firebricks on top holding the
stone. When the dome reached 400° and the heat had set in
I sprinkled some cornmeal on the stone (which began to smoke)
and threw on the bread. I went inside to watch "Moulin Rouge"
(hey! it's Valentine Day) and set a timer to 30 min.
At about 25 mins. I checked and things looked ready. I think
the heat was a little high. I will try at 350° next time.
Set the bread on a rack to cool and misted a little butter
spray on for ambiance and effect.
The bread was served with love and loved in return.
