| Scribner Ledge Quarry Mineral List Albany, Oxford County, Maine (Closed to the General Public - Exclusive collecting access through Poland Mining Camps only!) With a long history of commercial feldspar and mica recovery, Scribner Ledge has been productive since it was first explored in the 1920's. Collectors love this location for its gem and specimen grade beryl, plus its gem grade rose quartz. Although lacking in some of the exotic minerals found in Oxford County, Scribner Ledge has always enjoyed a reputation as a great place to collect. Images of the location are now out of date, but recent work has been done to clear away the trees and brush and turn the mine tailings. Access is only through Poland Mining Camps exclusively. Please do not contact the landowner. | |||||||||||||||||
