Lord Hill Mineral List
Stoneham, Oxford County, Maine
(Open to the General Public.)

First worked in the 1880's, Lord Hill has always drawn the collector, scientist and jeweler to its mineral wealth. Probably most famous for its giant quartz crystals, it is also famous for its light blue and colorless topaz in very large sizes. Even though there is a history of feldspar mining here, it simply was too far from any processing mill to make mining ventures profitable. So for most of its existence, it has been a collectors paradise.

Geologists just love to get their hands on the phosphate triplite,
but for short geologists, it is always just out of reach!
