| Hayes Ledge Quarry Mineral List Greenwood, Oxford County, Maine (Closed to the General Public!) Hayes Ledge has a long, but guarded history. It was probably mined or explored commercially in the early decades of the last century, but the particulars have never been published. In recent times, it has been mined by mineral collectors who have exposed much more of the ledge. The most noted minerals found by these mining collectors were fluor-apatites and some very large (for Maine) bertrandite crystals. ![]() | ||||||||||||||
