A number of times during the week, The Midnight Mineral Store & Museum will be open for business at the Pavilion. These evenings are totally informal and designed to fill in the gaps throughout the week, when nothing dramatic is planned. We design these evenings to give you the chance to see, show, swap, sell and swagger! Anything goes and the evenings are all yours. If you want to purchase, look, sell, discuss or just talk shop, that is the purpose of these evenings!
Many of our registrants want to see what the local miners are finding and what they have for sale. When possible, we will invite some of these quarry operators to bring in some of their specimens and/or wares so you can get to see them at least. Any transactions are between you and them.
We also encourage our registrants to bring some of your own things to Midnight Minerals. You may show and display, give away those extras specimens you don't know what to do with, plus deal or trade. It is also your chance to show off your mineral specimens from anywhere in the World or bring those problem minerals in for analysis or diagnosis. Any registrant may present minerals and make a private deal with other registrants, to swap or transact. Get my drift?
As we do every year, we will have an evening with Fred Wilda, a mineral artist who will bring his art for sale and when we can, we will invite guests and local collectors to bring things for you to see.
The Store evenings will be announced throughout the week and the hours the Store is open are up to you. With luck we will have some beverages on hand to grease any deals for you. |
