| Perhamite Specimens from Maine |
| Harvard Quarry, Greenwood, Maine Image 1a - This is the only known specimen from the Harvard Quarry, Greenwood, Maine. Self collected, it was one of those pieces I just tossed into my bag. The whitish matrix here is microcline feldspar. The honey colored crystals in the vug on the left side are the perhamite. The grayish "balls" to the right side are all fluor-apatite crystals. See the next image for a close up of the perhamite. field of view= 3 - 4 cm | ![]() |
