Poland Mining Camps Seasonal Opening Party
 What better way is there to end a week of hard work then to party with your new friends! If you are within range of our grill, Skip and the Staff invite you to enjoy great food, desserts, beverages, new and old friends, invited guests and the quarry operators you met all week. We also hope to have some special mineral specimens to show, surprises, lots of conversation and fun!
On Saturday, June 6th, Poland Mining Camps and the Workshop are teaming up for an all day special event and Cookout Party open to all. The Cookout Party will start about 1:00 PM and run into the evening as late as you want to stay. We will be inviting all of the quarry operators who helped us during the week, plus some of the other local miners, mineral shop owners and special friends of the Workshop to join us for the Party.

Anything can happen and there is always some nice surprises during the event. Skip was pleasantly surprised by Dennis Durgin one year, seen here giving Skip a gift of a torn paper bag! Seriously, some of our invited guests always bring something beautiful to see.
The Workshop and Poland Mining Camps is sponsoring the Party and everyone who attended the Workshop is welcome to attend. If you live locally, you are also welcome to bring your spouse or girl/boy friend. Beverages will be supplied, although it is BYOB. If by chance you want to bring a special dish or dessert of your choosing, we will not say no to your doing so!!! Personally I am a fan of pastries of all kinds!
For those of you who are from "away" (non-Maine) and have a "Home-Town" special dish you'd like to make for the evening, please let me know and we'll make arrangements to supply you with the ingredients. I'd love to try some Homemade Pralines made by someone from New Orleans, a Californian Deep Dish Apple Pie, or some British Columbia Cookies! |  |
