Frequently Asked Questions.

At e.m.a design and cards we will try our best to make your experience as pleasent and easy as possible. We are flexable and can travel to you if you can't travel to to us. Or you can look in Heavenly Chocolate, Ballymena or The Bridal Suite, Holywood to see our range.

1. Do we have to order set amounts or can we just order what we need?

A. No you don't have to order set amounts, you can order whatever amount you wish, except some have minimum amounts.

2. What do you mean by minimun amounts, like 50?

A. No, for price ranges 4,5,6 the minimum amount of invitations is 10 of each required kind.

3. What is the time frame you recommend for placing an order.?

A. If you are going for a standing style we would recommend no later than 12 weeks before your wedding day. If you want a unique design range the sooner the better but we recommend no later than 16 weeks before your wedding day. We do not offer the design service if it is less than 10 weeks to your wedding day.

4. What is the time frame for an order of service, 2 weeks right.?

A. No, because orders of service have to be approved by the clergy we recommend a minimum of 6 weeks.

5. When do we send out the invitations?

A. We recommend you send out day invitations 6 weeks before you get married. Evening invitations 4 weeks before.

5a. We need an order of service for every guest right?

A. Not really, after all there might be a lot of couples so 1 between 2 is acceptable. Usually about 2/3's is an ok amount, but its up to you.

6. Is there a discount for bulk purchases?

A. Depending on the size of the bulk purchase, a discount may be offered.

7. Does a bulk purchase mean ordering Day & Evening invitations, place cards & Order of services.?

A. No, a bulk purchase is worked out on the quantity of the order not just because you buy Day & Evening invitations, place cards & the Order of services.

8. Do you travel or do we have to come to you.?

A. Whichever suits but please ring and make an appointment if you are travelling to see us. We work from home and have a young family so appointments will be fitted round these factors.

9. Any time you are un-available?

A. If you can't get an answer please leave a message on the answering machine and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Please don't ring after 9pm unless its the mobile number as we have a young family. I'm sure you will understand.

10. I've seen a great style elsewhere but don't wish to pay the price, can you copy it exactly?

A. No, we can't copy any style exactly due to copyright law. But we can design something along the same type of theme if that's what you like.

11. I like one type of card but wish to have a different design on it, is this possible.?

A. Yes, because we design, make and print all our styles we can intermix designs to suit you. This is restricted only due to the fact that certain materials are only available in certain items. We will let you know at the time.

12. Will this have an effect on the price.?

A. Yes, due to the different cost of materials interchanging designs could result in an increase or decrease in the displayed price. This will be made clear to you at the time.

13. I can't be bothered to take care in writing out the names to be printed for the invitations, but you'll check every name right?

A. Wrong, we will try our best to read and produce correct names and spellings for names and addresses but if your writing is illegible Its your responsibility. REMEMBER ITS YOUR GUESTS NOT OURS SO IF YOU DON'T KNOW THE SPELLING, HOW ARE WE TO KNOW.!

14. What if the names are spelt wrong?

A. If spelt wrong by us it will replaced free of charge, if spelt wrong by you we will charge you for another invitation, if you want it fixed. SO, TO BE SAFE PLEASE MAKE SURE THEY ARE ETHER SUPPLIED TYPED OR WRITTEN AS BLOCK CAPITALS. If they are been written supply in block capitals. If typed please supply all lower case.

15. We are inviting Our friends and their children, do we need to list every name on the invitation.

A. No, unless you want to. eg Mr & Mrs John Smith & Family is an acceptable way to word it.

16. We are both goths and would like a theme designed around that, can you do it and would it look stupid?

A. We can design anything to suit YOUR taste, and if someone thinks it looks stupid do they deserve to be at your wedding?

17. I'm not getting married until 3 years from now, it will cost the same won't it.?

A. No, if you haven't paid a deposit the prices might well have changed when you come back. To secure the price quoted make sure you pay the deposit then and there.
