Enjoy!-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=Mixed-up
and mashed
upPresenting the
world premier of my first mash-up, In Our Lives.
You can check it out here
now or wait until it's featured in my next Podcast. Basically, I took the idea
that it's Podsafe to run 30 seconds or less of a published song as fair play.
Add that to one of my favorite songs as you have a mashup (though it's more of a
mix-up than a mashup). Obviously, you
won't find any Beatle versions at the iTMS (linked at the sidebar on the right),
but you can find most of the artists there (name followed by a * if the songs
are available in iTunes)in this mix-up. The artists lending their musical
talents to this include the Beatles, Ozzy Osbourne*, Johnny Cash, Spyro Gyra*,
Sean Connery*, Jackie Robinson, José Feliciano* and Astrud Gilberto*.
Check it out and let me know what you
think of it.
Enjoy.-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=Europe
2005 photosI'm back in
Singapore. Just landed this afternoon and already have some photos
up.Podcast-wise, I'm working on two
more, one from Switzerland and one from Italy. Both will be up in days, followed
by a normal Randcast with some Mac advice, more reviews and a follow-up on the
trip.Photos can be seen here.
And I may add others later on.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-Another
blow for BaliSharon's
recent Soundseeing tour of Bali seems a little bittersweet now ...
She wasn't in the particular
areas hit by the weekend suicide bombers but it's still scary nevertheless. And
just recently, we were discussing a French report about Al Qaida and JI planning
attacks in various Southeastern Asian countries. We also talked about traveling
right around 9/11. And I said Bali should be safe but I wouldn't go there in
October, just in case. For a beautiful
area just recovering from the last suicide terrorist attacks, this is going to
hurt that area. One news report quoted a journalist saying it's the final nail
in the coffin for Bali's tourist industry. I wonder if the irony was
intentional.To hear that island, check
out Soundseeing: Bali. It does paint a different picture than what you see on
the news these days. So sad.
