All musicians share a common background inmodern jazz, while still being
open to other forms of music, and together with a mutual understanding
of what music is and should be, this results in a unique sound with references
to post-rock and electronic music as well as jazz. The band has done more
than 100 concerts at clubs and festivals, mostly in Norway, and established
itself as one of the country’s leading jazz ensembles.The band has
a growing reputation for outstandin live performances, and a concert with
JUPITER is always an intense experience.

In 2006, JUPITER started working with Jonas Kullhammar. The collaboration
was an immediate success, and resulted in the critically acclaimed album
“Live at Glenn Miller Café”. Kullhammar’s fantastic
saxplaying, creative songwriting and ferocious energy adds a new dimension
to the band.

recorded over two days during a tour in February 2007, and features 11
original tunes from Stubø and Kullhammar.
is the band’s third album, the second with Kullhammar and the first
for the Bolage label.
