I painted this for a partner at a major Boston law firm who wanted something food related for her kitchen. I cook as well, so here we see the mise en place for fresh pasta with butternut squash. In the upper left is a hollowed out pile of semolina with an egg in it. Below that is a quartered butternut squash, a knife, and the already prepared first batch of pasta dough. Finally, there's a glass of wine on the cutting board for the hard working chef!
