Romania is bordering the Black Sea and sea trade connects the Black Sea with the Mediterranean through the Bosphorous straits (via Marmara sea).

The river Danube is coonected to the Black sea via a navigable canal. The river joins the Black sea through the Danube Delta a natural reserve.
