Air Travel

There are regular and charter flights to and from Romania by various airlines . Romania has 27 airports of which 21 have paved runways.

The main international airports are:

Bucharest Otopeni 'Henri Coanda' International Airport OTPin Bucharest is 18 km from the city center. Transfers can be made by airport coach or by taxi. Scheduled flights to:
Timisoara International Airport - TSR (Milano-RO, Vienna-OS, Budapest-MA, Bari, Duesseldorf, Munchen, Palma de Malorca-summer, Stuttgart, Torino- V3 Carpatair , Venice Marco Polo -VA, also charter flights to Ancona, Bari, Bergamo, Bologna, Chisinau, Florence, Rome, Treviso, Verona)
Arad International Airport-ARW (charter flights to Ancona)
Cluj International Airport -CLJ (regular flights to Vienna--OS/RO, Frankfurt, Milano, Munich-RO, Budapest, Bergamo, Bologna, Duesseldorf, Florence, Munich, Rome, Stuttgart, Torino, Treviso, Verona,- V3 Carpatair )
Sibiu International Airport - SBZ (to Munich and to Germany and Italy via Timisoara).
Iasi Airport - IAS, Bacau- BCM, Oradea- OMR, Cluj- CLJ, and Sibiu- SBZ, have flights via Timisoara - TSR, to destinations in Germany and Italy with V3 Carpatair
Internal flights are mainly from Bucharest Baneasa Airport- BBU (Arad, Iasi) but also some flights from OTP as well. Volare Airlines-VA flights from Bucharest Baneasa BBU and Timisoara TSR to Venice Marco Polo,

There are two main heliports as well (Bucharest).
