Logo Design
The design for the Colorado Field Institute was completed
in February 2006. The first design was well received, but
it was felt that it was too regional (referring to the
Great Sand Dunes near Alamosa where I teach). I
incorporated a mountain range, similar to the one behind
the actual dunes, and a moonrise in the shape of the
letter "C" for Colorado. The ADS logo was based on the
signature of M.C. Escher. Since the business used
computers to collect and anaylze data, the first letter
looks like a floppy disk (which you rarely see today...
technology changes everything!)
