Logo Design
The design for the Colorado Field Institute was completed in February 2006. The first design was well received, but it was felt that it was too regional (referring to the Great Sand Dunes near Alamosa where I teach). I incorporated a mountain range, similar to the one behind the actual dunes, and a moonrise in the shape of the letter "C" for Colorado. The ADS logo was based on the signature of M.C. Escher. Since the business used computers to collect and anaylze data, the first letter looks like a floppy disk (which you rarely see today... technology changes everything!)
