Ice Studies
The circular works and pyramids were created using unsweetened Kool-Aid™ poured into plastic molds. They were photographed at 6am with Mount Blanca (Colorado) in the background. The patterns were pleasant surprises. Some are similar to bamboo leaves. The red/blue piece was created by breaking the ice and adding a different color and letting it re-freeze. "Icon" and "Ice Rings" were frozen puddles. Several of these works, along with the Gravel Studies, were part of a solo show at Arizona Western College in January 2006.
