This was the second in the "fortress" series. It was actually conceived of first, but when making environmental art, one must yield to the seasons and create when the conditions are right. After the piece was melting, I discovered that people had made a small fire within the circle. It has been my observation that people and animals tend to be attracted to the center of enclosures, no matter how small.
