Gravel Studies
These are photographic observation of gravel piles. I find it fascinating that nature persists in creating beautiful forms from man's attempt to re-create the environment. People will travel thousands of miles to see nature's wonders, such as Monument Valley or the Grand Canyon. And yet, one can find beauty in the most unlikely places near to home. Several of these works were shown as part of the Rocky Mountain Biennial at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Fort Collins, Colorado. The show ran from May 30 through August 19, 2006.
