Fruit Fly Project Work in progress - 2008/2009 Medium: Adobe Photoshop CS4 This is the final result of compositing the images on the previous page. This is quite a magnificent specimen, and while most people think of flies as ugly, dirty pests, they can be quite beautiful. My wife facetiously remarked to me as I worked on this image. "Can you make me a pair of earings like that? Gold and silver body with emerald eyes please!" These images will eventually end up on a web based identification system, much like the web site I created for the Scale Insects project. At that time I will put a link on my links page just as I did for "Scale Insects" and "Virtual Tour of a Caribbean Mangrove Island"
