ISDI Summit Postponed for This Year

by Sue Hamilton

It is with much regret that Geneviève and I have agreed to POSTPONE this year's plans to have a gathering in conjunction with the annual meeting of the International Sled Dog Veterinary Medical Association to be held, presumably, in Green Bay, Wisconsin this October.  While I am certain the ISDVMA officers and program coordinators are working hard on their plans, they had not yet posted an agenda to their web site at  <http://www.isdvma.org/> as of August 26th. Without this information, we don't know if the program they are planning will be of interest to ISDI enthusiasts to supplement what we would like to plan for our summit.  I haven't even been advised as to whether or not one of my suggested  banquet speakers was accepted.  The ISDI is still not prepared to "go it alone", especially with so little time before what was to be our desired date (this October).  So we will consider a date and a venue for sometime in 2001.  In the mean time please consider what you would like to see as part of a summit meeting and forward your suggestions to either Geneviève or me.
