Sun - May 15, 2005News FlashNEWS FLASH: petie has been expelled from
breaking tides. we have NO new music. we arent even a band anymore. i dont play
guitar either. whats a guitar? in fact, whale sperm. actually, i dont know. i
was gonna say something important. ill just wait ten
minutes.
ok, we have a lot of new music. show the 28th at uncle sams. we are playing with madelyn and last years heroes. so if you dont like us, chances are you like either of those bands. they are quite like everyone else. enjoy. we shoudl have a few more songs. they will be good. guaranteed. excpet for the vocals. bass will be totally kick ass, like always. expect "rainforest cafe song" because it is really good. also expect, the rain song, which is like the opposite of the rainforest cafe song, possibly lindsays song which requires strange tuning. actually, it doesnt really matter. my greatest piece of work is up on the site anyway. so in fact, dont even go to the show. just sit at home and listen to that song. me and AJ have a few amazing new songs coming out. i use 2nds. it sounds beautiful. well, since i write for the band, and no one knows what seconds are, im gonna stop. i just write guitar. so yea, i have a bunch of new songs in work. they are all getting better progessively. so yea, ive been writing a bunch new songs. very good they are. i like them a much. poo poo pee pee caka. star wars may 19th. go see it. i love star wars. cKy june 28th. go get it. best CD ever. i heard one song, its amazing. cool solo. like sprinkles on ice cream cake. everyone likes ice cream. actually, everyone LOVES it. faggot. so yea, dont listen to peties new dance song. its caka to the ears. it really is. the main idea of this: go to our show on the 28th. buy the cKy CD. eat ice cream cake. we are getting better. bananas are yellow. i hate school. this moment brought to you by HAULLMARK. Posted at 06:06 PM Sun - April 24, 2005Luis' Taken Awayhey everyone, ive decided that i would post MY
LYRICS since petie posted his lyrics. no one cares about your lyrics petie.

Posted at 06:02 PM Mon - March 7, 2005New Member!Ok, so we have a new band member. he stands at
about, 6' 3 or 6' 2. he has sexy skin. he has short, dark black hair. he has BIG
hands. ladies, you know what that means. its ARTHUR KE JR. congratulations man,
we are totally honored to have you in the band. hopefully you feel the same way.
actually, we just kinda forced you into the band. but either way, awesome. you
are the perfect addition to the band. and you are HILARIOUS. we look forward to
the next practice, full of hard work and laughter to go with it. hopefully you
will serve as a peacemaker between me, james and jeff constantly yelling. either
way, I am super excited. watch out, breaking tides is gonna get so much better
with this new Asian addition. weve got culture on our side bitches. and im
designing an instrument to build for the band. i cant give the idea away, for my
own reasons, and so no one steals it. thats another thing that will distinguish
us; our OWN instrument.
let me tell you something about this AJ personally, from the bottom of my heart, Luis' heart. i love this kid to death. we share this "special" bond. its called, "being twins." we are twins, bonded by love and looks. together we form one hell of a team. and when i am onstage with AJ, i feel so much more confident and better about myself. so my performance level with AJ in the band will be much higher now. thanks AJ, im honored to be part of your life. that sounded pretty gay. Posted at 07:39 PM Fri - March 4, 2005Ovation SuXOk so you got the inside scoop on the ovation
show... to the rest of the band and our loyal fans who came all that way to
watch us (i love you all dearly, it is you guys that keep me alive), we did
awesome. to me, we sucked. why? heres the scoop of what really happened, first
hand, first person, from the man who basically got fudgeed over, like always.
and of course, and i am probably the most critical of the band, when it comes to
our performances. anyway, we didnt even get a soundcheck in the morning when we
went there. we drove an hour and half to hand in our fudgeing money. fudgeing
pigs.
They soundchecked one band, the first band. so us and A Farewell Approach toyed with the equipment a bit. i still didnt really know how to use it, whatever. we went home, slept in the car, i realized how not good Killswitch Engage was, but i still like them. we practiced at petie's after lunch, then i slept. . . we are about to get on stage, and i had just finished tuning our guitars and A Farewell Approach's equipment as well. i didnt really tune the ibanez though; of course, when it was important, the ibanez went ouf of tune constantly, of course it had to be me. im so lucky. anyway, AFA finishes, we get on. i was told by matt from AFA to use the stack on the far right because the one he used is done and broken. so i took his advice, the nice person i am. problem was, the keyboard was on the side nearer to the stack that was apparently "broken." So i plugged into my amp, using a fudgeing wireless system. lemme tell EVERYONE something, wireless systems suck. well, most, i havent tried that many. one in fact. and MARSHALL CAN SUCK MY FAT WANG. ive said it from the begining, marshall sucks. ive never used such a bad system. first of all, the jackson's (the guitar i was using) pickups are weak, then, a crappy wireless system plugged into a dying marshall stack. the result: no sound, due to a broken signal or no signal at all (once again thanks to wireless system run into a dying stack from a sucky pickup system). or, a really really really really pussy sounding distortion. i played the absolute worst i have every played in my life that night, and it was bad. I was so mad, i could not take it. i was yelling at everyone: the band, the techies, the poor girl who introduced us, everything. so basically, i said, fudge it. i refuse to even make an effort. i get fudgeed over so much. thanks matt from AFA. i used the shit amp you whore. happy? i sucked, and now im pissed off again thinking about what happened. whatever... everyone loved us, strangely. it was by far, my worst show ever. you, the reader, probably wonder, but everyone else said the show was great. yea, to them. to me, i try to forget it. sure, petie sang beautifullly, and james was rockin', and jeff did his thang, and robert added them beats to that honey. but tonight, the usual winner came out in the bottom. anger overcame me, and i was i dick to everyone on stage. sorry. but mostly what pissed me off, was the fact that they decided to do taken away, even though they knew my distortion wasnt in existence and i would sound awful. that still fudgeing pisses the hell out of me so much... I cant talk about this anymore. all this waste, all this time, all this hype, all this hope, all this looking forward to. what a big waste... we didnt even win. we shouldve won too. we clearly won, it was obvious we are the best band in the land. this just shows the corruption and lack of true talen in the music business nowadays. the bands that won were two screamo/anger management bands. they both sucked my three testicles. its ridiculous how bad music has gone. heres what my good buddy zakk wylde says (something along these lines): "its so insulting to us hardworking musicians to see people like ashlee simpson (or in our case, the winning bands at ovation) get all this fame and shit. she cant even lip-sync to her own fudgeing song. One day, i think im gonna play my CD onstage, shove a hockey stick up my ass, and walk around stage like a douche bad, and people will say 'wow zakk is amazing, hes not even touching his guitar and hes still playing the solo.'" screw you "exposure." Posted at 04:08 PM Sun - February 13, 2005RanDoMWhat a random day. i wake up at 10 and eat
breakfast, then i go to band practice. i am the first one there by like, 15
minutes. robert shows up and then petie. jeff and james come at the same time.
we practice the incubus sounding song. not too much to say about it. the D song,
same with that as well. so far, in my eyes at least, things arent looking to
good in the band. im not too happy. whatever. we decided to go to town center
and play. we sort of did. we went and hung out. i accidentally said a bad word,
and a black guy left. i was really sad and i still feel terrible for it.
dammit... anyway, Curly, Mr. Kepplar and i just set up our stuff by the lake at
Town Center and just played. that was ok. it was so freaking cold. i dont know
what else to say. we took band pictures today. i am so photogenic its
ridiculous. i dont care what the rest of the band says. yours truly, Breaking
Tides. peace.
Posted at 10:16 AM Wed - February 9, 2005Warped Tour 2005Yo. looks like we are gonna appear on the
Warped Tour 2005 compilation CD for sure because we just got all this legal
stuff and addresses and names and numbers. this is awesome. it still hasnt hit
me how awesome this is. well, the only band on the CD that i think is ok is
Thrice. the rest of the bands pretty much suck. i think whatever song we put on
the CD will be a nice breath of fresh air to whoever purchases it because it is
quite different. we arent sure which song we are going to send in though. maybe
"taken away." i personally would like to see this new incubus sounding song
finished or the song in D becaue they are both very good songs so far. and i
dont care what mr. kepplar says, we dont have a sound yet. incubus: "new skin"
and "aqueous transimission" they are both SO different it is ridiculous.
Im gonna make him listen to those songs. so mr. kepplar, let me handle everything when it comes to sound ok? when a band has only 5 originals, you cant really say they have a sound. think next time mr. kepplar. even bobby agrees and says we dont have a sound. we have 5 songs, that are different and each have something different in them. but i love you, dont worry. just some of the things you say... anyway, Luis is going to guitar center tomorow to talk to pete and have his Flextone III ordered. he cant wait for it to come in because it sounds super sexy. he is also going to buy knobs and other useful tools. whoever would like to join him, call him up. bring 40$ to Luis if you want to see steve vai next band practice. Well, the next show is I DONT KNOW. but i hope we have one this weekend. i like playing live. i play so much gooder live. we are gooder live. hopefully, we can finish our songs by open mic night. we have a much bigger crowd attending that show. oh yea, Luis cut his hairs... looks, weird. its quite short. so the Hero is going to be shocked when he sees Luis. anyway, i cant wait to see that Forum thing go up, that should be interesting. ok kids, I am out for the night. i have 4 tests tomorow and i didnt bring 1 book home. im screwed. PEACE. and by the way, petey, ill have your melody next practice. and to everyone in the band, OPEN UP YOUR MINDS AND THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX. you guys are pretty dumb. Posted at 08:31 PM Read More Sun - February 6, 2005Captain’s Log Stardate: 2.6.05Yesterday, Breaking Tides played its second
show in a row. And the result… Terrible. One of their worst
shows ever to be played. The setting was a party at Lauren Diaz’s
house. A truly awesome girl she is. It was a costume party, and
Breaking Tides barely dressed up. The Hero just blindfolded himself and
sang, Curly was a pirate, Mr. Kepplar was nothing, Bobby was nothing, and Luis
was Ozzy Osbourne. The band played the usual play list, minus one or two
songs. The only songs that came out good were our originals.
That’s the sign to stop playing covers, and fudgeing work on our own
shit. Maybe the Hero needs to start writing some fudgeing lyrics for the
song we have. Whatever. The point is, the show last night was
awful. The parents said we were awesome, but it seemed as though they were
partly drunk. Either way, we sucked.
fudge Even Luis sucked playing the guitar after the band finished playing. Then again, he had a major headache from falling of the top of the bounce house over 10 times. That would be his excuse. There was a bounce house, and that made up for the sucky show. It is certain the band had a great time at that party. I know Luis did. Today, was supposed to be another show at the Hero’s house for a Super bowl party. There, it was strategerized that the band would sell tickets. Good thing nobody could show up. Gay fudges. February 26 is quickly gaining on us, and things still haven’t been looking good with Bobby’s parents not allowing him to practice on certain days and Curly’s parents grounding him for F’s on tests. Maybe Curly should just NOT get F’s on tests. That would solve a huge problem. Geez, this band man… Posted at 02:17 PM Sat - February 5, 2005Captain’s Log Stardate: 2.4.05.As soon as school ended, the band scurried to
do their chores so they could get to practice as soon as possible. Bobby,
Mr. Kepplar and Captain arrived before the rest, so they chilled. As soon
as Curly, Colavecchio, and the Hero arrived, Breaking Tides got to work on their
next song. The song, quite simple, wasn’t taken to easily to Mr.
Kepplar and the Hero. The Hero thought up of a great melody, or so he
says. Too bad he didn’t get to show us, Mr. Kepplar had some trouble
with the song; Bobby had some, and everyone else had trouble with the song order
which is truly very simple. In fact, its so simple, here is the song
order: Intro (2x’s) leads
into Verse (4x’s)
leads
into Pre-Chorus (2x’s)
leads
into Chorus (4x’s)
back to
Verse (4x’s)
into
Pre-Chorus (2x’s) into
Chorus (4x’s)
into
Bridge (2x’s Guitar only) whole
band joins (4x’s) Bass Solo (during
4x’s with band) into
Intro (2x’s)
ends with
Chorus (4x’s). Not very hard
really.
Mr. Kepplar is having a hard time learning the guitar. Not good. The song isn’t turning out as good as expected, due to the lack of performance level. Hopefully, it will be even better than expected once completed and perfected. This is the first song of the big new array of songs that Breaking Tides has lined up. They still have about 7 more cooking in the pot. At the rate the band is moving and performing the new songs, things aren’t looking so good… On a better note, Breaking Tides played a show at the AMHS Open Mic Night a.k.a. Coffee House. Not just a show, a damn good show. Everything was accurate, minus Mr. Kepplar’s guitar being out of tune and the intro for “Taken Away.” Everything else was perfect. Great show in all honestly. Amazing how captain did the soloing even with the frost-bitten fingers. Curly’s performance was top notch, as was the Hero’s, Bobby’s, and Mr. Kepplar. Captain is still just a monument to look at, an ugly one too. Little Rios Band also played their first show ever. They did excellent. Apart from the playing, drumming, singing, they did really good for their first show. Captain was very proud of Kevin and Mike. The crowd really enjoyed their performance. After the show, the night was filled with laughs as Crespo and Colavecchio joked away at Wendy’s. It was just another good time with the group of friends and fans, into our memory. New song to come, soon, by Yours Truly, Captain. Posted at 08:13 AM Wed - February 2, 2005Captain’s Log Stardate 2.2.05This is Luis speaking, loud and clear. Shut
up, we can hear you. Today we had a mini practice at the Hero’s house.
Only Curly, the Hero, and Luis showed up. Jeff’s mother made him go to
the soccer game, which I should have been at as well. Robert’s mother
didn’t allow him to attend practice because of bad grades. How
silly… What an obstacle this “school” thing has become. Well,
once school is over, we will take
off.
Only the speed of the summer will take us to our greatest heights. Today, Curly, the Hero and I worked on a really sexy song. It has just about every element of our music to it: its upbeat, very pretty, reasonably fast, and just plain sexy. I am really excited to finish the song with Mr. Kepplar’s second harmony guitar line and Bobby’s hot beats that ALWAYS go perfect with the music. To put the cherry on top, the Hero will add his beautiful vocals. And then, we have a song, by yours truly, Luis Cordova. Posted at 04:36 PM |
