AZN ATTACK
Yo, it’s the Asian invasion here. It
turns out that Breaking Tides will be publicly inactive until around August due
to certain circumstances. It kind of sucks for all of us, but there are some
good sides to it, too. We get to work on funds (which we are very low on) and
merchandise and all that fun stuff, and possibly, come up with a few more
amazing creations. Also, it gives us an opportunity to step away from our hours
of grueling work to look at ourselves from an outside perspective. Anyways,
here’s something I found very enlightening that my very good friend Andres
wrote:
“Music is like the
Matrix. It is everywhere; when you drive to school, when you turn on
the TV, when you sing Happy Birthday to a friend, or when you ring your
neighbor’s doorbell. No matter where you go, you can’t
escape it. No one is aware of its existence, but it is
there. When you start learning about music, your eyes open wide and
you become blinded by the light. Some choose to close their eyes with
the perception that the light is too much to handle, ignorant from what is upon
them. Those who choose to keep them open get used to it and they are
the ones that turn out to be more aware of its presence and the complexities
that surround it. They become curious and want to learn more about
the concepts behind it. All musicians will encounter those rules and
they are the foundation of the system known as music. Even though
there are rules, some can be bent and others can be broken. Once you master the
basic laws that music abides by, you can see it for what it is and you can only
go further down the rabbit hole while others stay upon the surface oblivious to
what is really down there. As you learn more and more, you can
manipulate music to what you want it to be. Soon you reach a state of
nirvana and the rules no longer matter; it is a part of what you are in a
subconscious level. Once you get that far, there is no turning back; you can
only go forward to control the system however you please. What you
can accomplish with the power of your hands depends on your drive to dig deeper
into the rabbit hole and there is no telling what the human will can
accomplish.”

The AZN Attack
Dear Journal. This is probably my first entry
ever in the Breaking Tides Journal. Well yeah, it is. So here. I'm going to hit
you up with important updates in my life that coincide with the events that
parallel that of my career with the band and they go as
follows:
In
the past month, I've kind of been broken in as the keyboards of the band. We've
had several straight weeks of practice with everyone there and things have been
sounding pretty incredible. Seriously, I was amazed with the members of the band
before I joined, but now that I'm part of the experience, I have a much, much,
much X infinite higher respect for what they do. They are seriously way above
par as both musicians and as
people.
Anyways,
I've been hearing nothing but good things about my acceptance into the band and
I must admit it's very flattering. I hope I can meet up to everyone's
expectations. Actually, I want to surprise everyone and surpass their
expectations.
Okay,
so we have more than a handfull of songs now, and they are freakin'
impressive/awesome as hell. So guys, be patient and you will be endowed with all
that musical goodness.
Get down to the
nitty titty, I mean the nitty gritty, I mean her titty's pretty.
Peace.
