Kamisama no kyuh jitsu.

The mist embraces the tree covered mountain sides like a long lost lover. A narrow stream snakes around boulders as it winds through the valley floor towards a long forgotten temple.

The figure sits reading. He stands and gently folds the letter and passes it over a flickering candle watching the petals of flame unfold over the delicate paper. Ash falls like the last blossom of spring as he lifts the sheathed Wakazashi from it's stand.

The morning sun glints of the spokes of a rickshaw as the wheels come to a stop. Two white socked feet step down onto the grey paving stones. The swish of a purple kimono sweeps the cherry blossom aside with the soft click-click of the wooden getas.

In an alley way an old woman looks up from the pattern of tea leaves with horror to the man seated crosslegged in front of her. The shadow of a figure falls upon the face of a woman as a hand rests on the shoulder of the seated man. A mans voice speaks "Come, the Emperor requests our presence".

The smell of musky incense and the melancholy sound of a single flute fill the dim vermilion interior. In front of a golden idol kneels a figure, long white hair contrasting with the deep red of the robe. She lowers the bamboo shakuhachi flute from her lips.

A story of lust, betrayal, revenge and sushi set in the mysterious oriental land of Nihon. A land where honour is everything and a good bowl of noodles is bliss.
