The Festival is a two-day celebration of performance and writing. Individuals may attend all or part of the Festival and the event includes lectures, workshops, group and solo performances. Individual 2-to-4 minute thematically related performances are encouraged. Festivals are a unique opportunity for us to learn about performance, literature, language, culture and other elements of communication in a non-competitive, supportive environment.

On Friday we are planning a trip to the Holocaust Memorial Center in Farmington Hills. There is a lunch scheduled for Friday and Saturday.

Highlights include:

• A docent tour of the Holocaust Memorial Center and meeting with a Holocaust survivor

• Bob Weick from Iron Age Theatre performing Howard Zinn's "Marx in Soho"

• Barry Scanlan, winner of Utne Magazine's "Best Zine" Award

• Guest performer Michael Garcia, professional actor from Chicago

• Performance workshops
