What do you do?
I work in the Internet Services group at Apple Computer, Inc.
I write Web applications, which generally means I write lots of code that runs on back-end server systems.
What I'm working on will probably not mean much to you unless you're paying attention to Apple and Macintosh.
However, I'm currently working on
| the .Mac web site | | Loam | | MacBuddy (Setup Assistant) |
 |
|
 |
|
 |
and on a few other things, as I get the time :<).
I used to work at NeXT, where I worked on
| Tracker II | | | Web Catalog |
 |
| |
 |
That latter project became the basis for the Apple Online Store, and took me with it into my current position.
In case you're curious or willing to offer me interesting work for insane amounts of money, you could look here.
No, what do you *like* to do?

Spend time with my wife Susan
Best thing that's happened to me in a long time, especially since she agreed to marry me! Check out her homepage.
Our New House
The Sondgroth Place was just too small for us and all our stuff (did I mention I'm a pack rat?), so we started looking after the wedding. We were fortunate enough to find a place we liked, for a price we could afford, but it needed a little work...
Reading
I read a lot (mostly science fiction and fantasy). No, a lot. I used to read multiple new books a day when I had the time ...
Sports
I play ultimate, usually with the South Bay Ultimate League or pick-up games .
I'm an avid basketball and racquetball player. I rollerblade a bit, and occasionally play volleyball and softball, too. I don't like solitary exercise, but I love sports and I love the feeling of moving at top speed.
Games
I've got a gift for tactics and strategy. I used to play a lot of tournament bridge. I used to play many, many card games.
I play a lot of tabletop games, including some current favorites:
In general, if it's a game and I know how to play it, I like it. Since Susan also likes games, I've been looking for games which are fun for two players and more than two players.
Exploits
I love traveling. I like to take big vacations to places I haven't been before. Our most recent big trips were to Alaska, Hawaii, St. Louis, Southern California, the south of Greece, and Oregon.
Media
I've recently discovered I like old movies, and have been trying to work my way through the AFI Top 100 Movies.
In pursuit of this, I've been watching a lot of movies at the Stanford Theatre.
These days, I watch all the Law & Order series, Smallville, and the occasional episode of lots of other stuff.
I'm still watching
Babylon 5 on DVD. Here's a fun little B5 audio clip:
