First meeting of the Virginia Actors' Forum - Hampton Roads 


Thirty five people attended the first meeting and we laid the ground work for future events and meetings. 

First, for those of you who missed the first meeting, it is not too late to get involved!!! The next meeting (they are held every second Thursday of the month at 7PM) will be August 10th at The Actors' Place, Inc. in VA Beach. If you wish to be involved in a "hands-on" capacity just let me know. You can track everything that happened in detail by visiting www.virginiaactorsforum.com and reading the synopsis that will be generously posed by Jaime Resh after each meeting. You will find those notes in the Hampton Roads Chapter folder.

The guest speaker for the August meeting will be the new head of the new Hampton Roads Film Office, Jeff Frizzell.

The September meeting will be an opportunity to bring in your monologue audition packages for critique. Bring your headshot, resume, and up to 2-1/2 minutes of monologue material for presentation.

The guests tentatively scheduled for October's meeting are Nicholas Pryor and Christina Belford. Former board members of SAG and well known film/television actors, they will share their perspective on SAG membership, southeast travel waiver, and union action.
