Week two of Ruffian

The happenings on set week 2

Well, Sunday night's showing of Hello Sister, Goodbye Life was made especially pleasant by the fact I was able to watch it with Karen Speigel and Lampton Enochs, producers for that show. They are in town doing advance production work for their upcoming shoot... a remake of "The Initiation of Sarah." I think everyone was especially pleased with how nice the house and school we shot in looked. I was generally pleased with my performance with few of my habits making appearances. I will post a couple clips online for you to download next week just in case you missed the show.

Most of my shooting this week consisted of pick up shots from last week. Many of our exteriors were rescheduled from last week due to inclement weather. With the sun making an appearance this week we were able to get them in the can. Most were shots of us in the stands at the many races that take place. I was able to get a few pics for you from this week so here they are. First, me taking a break on set.

With the requisite bow tie as discussed earlier. Soon they tired of me screwing up with my awful acting so they put me behind the camera.

Seems I screwed that up to so they made me go to lunch hoping that would help. Ha, ha, ha.

Here's a picture of our director Yves. His demeanor on set was encouraging, relaxed, and lively. He was able to get us where he wanted by giving us subtle adjustments. We had several discussions about Dinny, as I remarked on earlier. As a result of our work making Dinny less "smarmy" or manipulative, the NY Racing Assn. changed their mind and will allow the production to shoot at Belmont Park. I guess we did our jobs. Here's Yves:

And here's one of us working with Sam.

More in a bit...
