Professor Fetterman provides empowerment evaluation consultations in additional to serving as a coach or facilitator immersed in the the project. In this capacity, he provides advice about ongoing empowerment evaluations.Recent examples include serving on an evaluation advisory board, making site visits, as well as telephone, virtual conference, and document review services. Institutions include Pitzer College, Cambridge College, the Independent Living Centre in Kingston Ontario, and the National Institute for Educational Policy Research of Japan.
Sousuke Watanabe, Yukiko Sawano, Akihiko Hashimoto are members of the Delegation for the Research Project on Educational Policy Review & Evaluation. They consulted with Professor Fetterman at Stanford University concerning the steps of empowerment evaluation and various educational policy matters. They will be using this approach to guide their evaluations of recently decentralized activities in Japan.
Dr. Fetterman spoke at the Ministry of Education and the National Institute for Educational Policy Research in Japan. He was invited to speak on the topic of empowerment evaluation.
