For Jewelry Photography I prefer a clean look; the examples here show a variety of approaches within this aesthetic.
How the work is shot also depends on your taste and the work itself. It may be that hard shadows and dramatic lighting makes the work stand out. It's a collaborative process.
The lenses used for this work are macro and capable of 1 to 1 magnification.
If manipulation of the plane of focus is desired - for depth of field affects, use of a camera with full lens movements is possible. This lens is capable of higher magnification.
Banner Printing:
I use an 11 color archival inkjet printer capable 2' width x 8' length . The material is a heavy flexible matt vinyl that has proven very durable. If there's media you prefer let me know.
I also do layout and design for both banners and cards.
