The Elemental Wonder of it all
 
Our retreat deepened during the week, as we studied the elements, the Wisdom Dakinis and Wisdom Buddhas. We rejoiced in the power of the wind, the ocean, the mountain, the sun

We built a fire on the beach and did the inner fire practices

The next morning we went to the end of the road. Ke'e beach.
We started up the jungle trail to Laka's heiau, Goddess of Hula
A heiau is a Hawaiian place of worship....an elevated platform, not enclosed.

Breakfast was arranged for us on the beach
We enjoyed eating under the trees. then we danced Tara in the sea.
Back at camp we started working with the four mandala configuration
In the shape of a double dorje, four Taras born to the center to dance
Each mandala had seven dancers
After dancing their praise, each woman progressed to the next mandala
The power was amazing, the dance looking like a magnificent circling of power
Tashi asked to join one of the mandalas, he was included with great joy
The choreography became very spirited, very creative
It is our dream to do this formation with 108 dancers
For performance the dancers would be born out into the four directions

In the evening Kimberly introduced us to a water dance ritual
On Earth Element day we had our Tara Dhatu Annual meeting.
We shared our work, our aspirations and dedicated them to benefit all beings.
Anahata & Lilliha introduced the group to Jizo, Earth Store Bodhisattva
Also known as Kshitigarbha, he averts natural disasters & brings prosperity
The group found staffs and adorned them with jingles
Then Anahata taught the dance she created to the mantra. Powerful Presence
Our last day Julie taught a White Tara Element practice of Gelek Rinpoche
We took our dinner out to the beach to watch the sunset

We gave gifts to the helpers, Trishana with the Face of Tara
The Equanimity dance, preparing us to re-enter the world
