Celebrate the Divine Feminine

Forty sincere Tara Dancers gathered at beautiful Camp Naue on the north shore of Kauai for a week of dance, dharma, meditation, swimming and fun

See the white picket fence in the center.....that's the camp Anahata and Prema moved into their cabin on the right, next door to the kitchen Most of the retreatants set up tents by the sea, some stayed in dorms It was like a little Tara Dance village We set up the shrine in the open air teaching pavilion on the right It was adorned with tropical flowers and all our precious things. Morning sunsets were spectacular Mount Makana behind us lit up in rainbow golden colors Our 2nd morning the night blooming cerius bloomed. They bloom only once a year Lisa from Germany, next to the cerius Suki presides in the kitchen Karin was one of her most excellent assistants Amira was the other cook/assistant. We were well and joyfully fed Karen Metta and Parvati Forrest made sure Anahata and I were cared for. Aerie makes good use of the local dragon fruit Outside the kitchen door there was always lots of help Early morning chi lel outside on the grass We then went into the pavilion for meditation Dances of Universal Peace create a powerful connection Tashi, our token male joined in with gusto Out on the beach the sail borders were holding forth A dozen colorful sails painting the canvas of the sky Sunday offering, we danced in two mandalas, Eana leading this one Alandra offererd hula with Eana before the mandala Trishana & Mira dance Invincible Courage together Constance with Leah to her left, Prema to her right The Taras of Joy and Laughter, Karin & Dechen Leah and Ave Maria, two Kauai artists Eana & Andrea, the two leaders of the mandalas Phyliss and Alandra Suki & Linda dance Ferocious Compassion Joni & Parvati Forrest The Mandala's merge, we pass the light Bringing the blessing down into our hearts We unwind the mandala Alandra & Kachina beam to our tiny audience of friends. Audience members join Robin & Sierra Lynn in Dances of Universal Peace Leah holds Aunty's hand, a woman known for her healing hands Andrea, adorned with Leis with Sharon, registrar for next year's camp Mary Stone, old friend of Prema's from India with Jenny from Australia Sharon Ginsberg from West Virgina with Linda of Ottawa Aaron & Ave Maria, his artistry is seen in her dress and jewellry Lilliha, our Central Coordinator and Prema were happy to be together again. Allyson & Sierra Lynn (many photos on these pages are Allyson's) Lilliha had an accident before coming to camp, Karuna helped her around.
