PowerCADD v7 for Mac OS X
Introducing PowerCADD v7
PowerCADD 7 is one of the
most significant upgrades we have seen since 1987.
Given the
significance of this upgrade, PowerCADD 7 has been under beta testing
since August of 2004 and "field testing" by users in the USA since Dec
19/05.
PowerCADD 7 provides full optimization of the Mac OS X
environment.What does this mean?
It means speed in
all functions and the crispness that you have been looking for in your
transition from OS 9 to OS X.
It means full adoption and support of
Unicode, including long file names and international language
support.
It also means the full adoption of Quartz Extreme.
PowerCADD 7 provides full translucency of objects, layers and shadows,
advancement of Layer Management to levels that were not previously
imagined.
It means the management of Attributes has taken significant
strides into the future. Such strides include improved Hatch management
including rescaling, contextual sensitive access from where ever you are
working, the introduction of Global attributes to enable you set your own
attribute standards within a project or within your office, and other
improvements that may entice you to inspire your imagination.
As has
been the practice, Engineered Software listens carefully to user
suggestions.
First and foremost, Version 7 includes both the
dxf and dwg translators. Both the dxf and the dwg translators read R10 through
to 2006 ACAD versions. The translator interface has gone through a full revision
to provide an interface that is visual and easy. Now you can see the file BEFORE
you translate it. You can even select the portion to be
translated.
Other improvements number over 150, yet the product is
substantially more robust and easier to use; reminiscent of the rock solid
PowerDraw 6 release.
There are so many improvements that only a
19 page document can give a brief overview.
