PowerCADD is modular by design, allowing users, Engineered Software, and third party developers to build upon the main program as they require.

The modularity of PowerCADD consists of two main areas:
• Externals (XTNLs) - a full programmer development environment.
• Libraries - an easily accessible environment allowing users to collect and store their most used typical drawing components (symbols) ; a true time saver and productivity enhancement.

Externals (XTNLs) allow for the addition of tools and functions. Such externals can be created by anyone with programming skills, by the PowerCADD author, or added as a Third Party developed product. 


WildTOOLS from Alfred Scott provides a collection of some 200 additional tools and functions to augment PowerCADD. WildTools includes tools to do freehand sketching using a graphics tablet and stylus, tools to do full perspective designs and the ability to convert plan or elevation to perspectives, tools specific for welders and steel work design, tools to parametrically design doors and windows in most styles in seconds, and many many more. Libraries :
Libraries allow for the design and collection of your own symbols and typical details easily, and for the addition of symbol libraries created by others. PowerCADD Libraries provide for an auto-scaling capability that ensures symbols from the library are automatically scaled to the scale of the recipient drawing when required. More than one library can be open at one time.

You can create your own libraries or purchase time saving Symbol Libraries for a variety of uses and disciplines.
