- Name: John Amos
- Caption: Watercolours and Drawings. After the gift of a set of oil paints he began drawing and painting until in 1977 he took an ‘A’ level in Art at Crawley College. In 1979 he did a full time foundation course at Brighton Art College, followed by a 3 year full-time Diploma in Fine Art at Croydon College. John then started teaching in Adult Education and has done ever since. He is now semi-retired,teaching just 3 days a week, but runs his own classes privately in Hassocks and North Chailey. John was elected to the Society of Graphic Fine Art (the Drawing Society) in 2008 and belongs to the Society of Sussex Painters, the Association of Sussex Artists and the Attic Club of Ditchling.
