• Name: Torz Cartwright
  • Caption: Torz Cartwright established her jewellery design business at the beginning of 2006 with a desire to create contemporary pieces of jewellery, which express her deep love of nature. Always one to fill her pockets with pebbles from the beach or feathers found on woodland walks, Torz draws from the beauty of the natural world to produce unique pieces in silver and gold. Ranges within the collection include: Flight - incorporating oxidised silver and hematite to striking effect, where delicate feathers are transformed into fine sculptural pieces of jewellery. Petrous – the metal has the effect of course natural layers, similar to rock, which are softened by contrasting surface texture, creating strong pieces, which are appealing to both men and women. Bud - taking the bud as a focal point for growth and development, this range evolved form a desire to create simple to wear, yet uniquely different wedding bands. Wing - consisting of some playful pieces, this range grew (and is still growing!) from nostalgic memories of playing with ‘helicopters’ found fallen from Sycamore trees. Acorn – charm bracelets and fanciful drop earrings in silver or 24ct plated gold with gorgeous rich coloured pearls. Alondside the ranges, Torz takes on commissions and encourages clients to collect their own natural treasures to be turned into uniquely personal momentos of certain places special to them.
