- Caption: From the High Veldt of South Africa to the rolling Downs of Sussex, with stops and chapters too numerous to mention. A self-confessed thief who has stolen ideas and influences from the great practitioners who have so immeasurably enriched this world we live in. If you notice a touch of Mondrian, Malevich, Mackintosh, Calder or the whole Art Nouveau movement, I am unashamedly quilty. Though I may only reach the height of their bootlaces, disporting myself in that abundant vein has been an adventure and an education.
