for my own self, there has only been one boss I have ever had who might inspire such treatment. The Son of Fed. And he was much worse to the rest of the team than to me. There was one exchange I had with him that inspired me for years, however. I had been asked to provide input on something, and I responded that I wanted some particular outcome and detailed why it was a good thing. His response: "Simmer down, popemark. Nobody gives a shit what you want. They want the business to run smoothly." I had the first two sentences printed in a very large font and put it on my cube wall for years.
