Vacation plans


DanB, hereafter referred to as The Papal Consort, has not only moved back to Austin and gotten a job at my place of employment. He and I have been planning a trip to Toronto for several months. But I have finally gotten off my lazy ass and made the actual arrangements. We both have vacation set aside, and flights are booked, and a beautiful room at Victoria's Mansion in the Church Street Village. Eduardo, the Consort's friend from San Antonio, is going up a few days earlier for Pride weekend, but we won't arrive until the 28th.

For the record, despite everything that has gone on in our lives, the Consort and I have not taken a vacation together since spring break 1990. omg.

On the down side, I had to buy my flights this summer, because I am flying from Austin - Toronto - Des Moines - Austin. I can't use frequent flyer miles for multi-stop itineraries. And I have to meet Ms Pope and Sören (and Devo and Pell) in Iowa for the high school reunion...
On the plus side, I have requested that both of us get upgraded to first class for the Austin - Toronto legs!
