iTunes to the rescue, again
iTunes Music Store has set up a
tile
on the main page to donate money to hurricane relief for the
southeastern US. You can donate in $5, $10, $25, $50, $100, and $200 amounts.
iTunes did a similar
tile after the tsunami hit southeastern Asia. In fact, they still (at
the time of writing, at least) had a page up on their website urging
customers to donate money to tsunami relief.
Victims of Hurricane Katrina are attempting to
recover from the massive storm. American Red Cross volunteers have been deployed
to the hardest hit areas of Katrina's destruction, supplying hundreds of
thousands victims left homeless with critical necessities. By making a financial
gift to Hurricane 2005 Relief, the Red Cross can provide shelter, food,
counseling, and other assistance to those in need. The American Red Cross
encourages you to learn more about these and other efforts by visiting www.redcross.org, calling 1 800
HELP NOW or emailing info@usa.redcross.org.
