I made it home safely, and am now waiting for
Sören to put on her Easter dress and look through the basket that the bunny
brought. so I have a few minutes to review the photos I took in Bucharest and
post them...
This is the entrance to
the National Art Museum...
More after the jump...
This car is a Dacia. It is manufactured in
Romania, and you see them all over. They apparently have one model they make for
several years at a time. This particular model was in use for a lot of years. It
reminds me of a cheap pre-Capitalist
Saab...
This man was my driver on Sunday
afternoon, and took me all over town to see museums, Orthodox churches, and
Revolution Plaza (including bullet pocks in the
walls!)
The Orthodox church I went to is the
main church (cathedral, maybe?) for the country, and they were celebrating the
beginning of Lent in the Orthodox
calendar.
