Mounting a NASCAR Windracer body to an Artin chassis

The Windracer bodies are cheap (as low as $2 each) and are easily adapted to the Artin chassis using the chassis extender made by Pontiac455Judge (pontiac455judge@yahoo.com)

v  Here are the 5 available Windracer bodies. There might be more but at the time I bough mine, that was all they had.

v  Clean up the entire interior of the body with your favorite Dremel tool. Add two body mounting posts, one for the front chassis hole, one towards the back lined up with a hole that was made at the rear of the chassis. For body posts I use plastic wall anchors that I glue to the body with 2-part epoxy or with goop. I like goop because it has a little more flex to it, however, it does not last as long as epoxy.

v  Adjust the wheel base using the extender, in some cases I have found it necessary to cut the extender a bit. In the picture above you can also see that I grinded down the front of the chassis to have better clearance. Another nice thing about the extender is that you can tilt it a bit to adjust the ride height in the front.

v  Assemble the car and you are done.
