Lowering an Artin 1/43 car

Many 1/43 Artin cars come with too much space around the wheels in the wheel wells or the stance of the car is just too high. Here is a simple step by step approach to lower the cars on the chassis. This is just one of many ways to lower the cars ...

v  The new 2006 Artin mini cooper is a nice little car but as can be seen from the picture below, I think it would look better if lowered.

v  First let's open the car. Looking towards the front, grind down with a dremel tool the body mounting post to the required height and also the black plastic lip of the front underpan so it is level with the body mounting post). The pictures below show before (left) and after (right).

v  Looking on the sides of the cart, locate the mounting clips for the body. Grind down with a dremel tool the clip at the top, leaving the bottom one untouched so it still keeps the body from slipping off the chassis. The pictures below show before (left) and after (right).

v  At the back of the car, grind down the small openings that push down on the chassis and the rear axle. The pictures below show before (left) and after (right).

v  Do not forget to also dremel the back of the chassis if needed.
