Hello Slotcar Fans!
I am 42 years old, married, have two daughters. But it seems that I might not be a grown up quite yet after all.
Slotcar racing is a mania. Anyone who has done some races on a good track, cannot fight the attraction of slot racing, at least that’s what happened to me.
At 14 years old, I got my first 1:43 electric car set as a Christmas present. I used it constantly, alone but also together with friends.
Although the professional scale of slotcars was 1:32 (and this is still true now), I was a true supporter of the 1:43 scale. And although my track was not set-up all the time, I had it packed up and ready to go for the day where it would be used again.
For about 4 years now, I have a track that is about 22 m. It is installed permanently. The number of cars in my collection is growing continually.
My collection of 1:43 scale slotcars now includes 2,329 different cars. Looking at the pictures from my collection, one could think that there are many identical cars. But this is actually wrong. They really are all different (for example: the color of the windshield, lights, rims, color, shades with lustre or without lustre, different labels…).
