Dirt Late Models: 1:43 Artin race truck conversion

HoosierHustler from the HRW forum has become quite the craftsman for dirt late models and brings us this creative way of converting an Artin race truck into a dirt late modified rocket.

 

Here’s where you start, with a 1:43 Artin race truck body

 

 

Get out your trusty Dremel and proceed to cut!

 

 

Lay the body upside down on a sheet of styrene and trace around it for the new flat section of the body, cut it out, and glue it on (with clamps good and tight)

 

 

Use filler all around the edges of the new section and sand down to a good polish

 

 

Cut the top out of styrene, or clear packaging, and then glue it in place

 

 

Paint and detail, and here’s what you can come up with

 

 

 

Now get busy you dirt guys!
