· Some on line resources for this topic:
o Article on using Future Floor Wax for clear coating models.
o Fantastic article on painting model cars written by Tim from Slot car heroes.
· I took a standard Artin 1/43 Porsche GT1 with a white body, painted some of it red and used a Marlboro livery (decals from SCW). I clear coated the body with two coats of Future.

· I took a Porsche 956 (or close from that, tough to say what the original really was) that I found on E-bay and turned it into the #21 Kenwood Porsche 956C that Mario Andretti, Michael Andretti, and Philippe Alliot drove at Le Mans in 1983, taking a very good 3rd place. This was the year that Porsche really ruled Le mans with the 956 taking the first 8 (EIGHT !) spots!
o I used a plastic spray paint can from the local Hardware store, the blue is not quite right but it is close enough
o I used decals from SCW once again. I had to take a few liberties for the decals as this model is not quite that of a 956C long tail and is also closer to 1/48 than 1/43 (some decals that are supposed to span the width of the car were too long)
o I used two coats of Future Floor wax as clear coats

· The Kenwood needed a track mate. So I took another Porsche body from e-bay and turned into the Porsche 962 driven by Bob Akin in IMSA, 1984 and 1985.
o I used decals from SCW once again. I had to take even more liberties than with the Kenwood,
o Painting was done with an Italian Red Enamel found at my local hobby shop.
o Once again, two coats of Future Floor wax for the finish

· After seeing the release of the Slot.it 1/32 Newman Porsche, 1984 Le Mans winner, I had to do one. That one was tough as the decals I got were far from perfect and the yellow was really difficult to get right. Once again, two coats of Future Floor wax for the finish.
