Slot racing, 1/32 Scale

Slot racing, 1/43 Scale

A while ago, I got into slot racing through a couple of friends in France. This was a lot of fun and during college days, as good an excuse for a party as anything else.

Read and see everything there is to know about the “Circuit de la Wanne”... 1/32 scale, … uses about half routed MDF and half Scalextric classic tracks … 70 meters (that’s 230 feet) long!!! This was built in 1985-1987 and still very much in use today with the annual 24 hours race and a few other events.

Also, many reviews and other articles on 1/32 cars.

Before Christmas 2003, as I was surfing the web to find a gift for my kids, I came across this offering from Artin for a 1:43 set for less than $50 … I could not resist … And well … I am back into it …

Since then, the garage has become the dedicated slot racing area in the house. You can find out about this track here, along with all kinds of technical information on track building, accessories, and cars; probably the most extensive 1/43 scale slot racing site on the web.

1/43 review, Articles, Tech tips can be found here.
