Creating a Slide Show
 

  1. Open AppleWorks.
  2. On the window that appears, click Use Assistants or Stationery. The small window on your left will show different options. Scroll down to Presentation and Click on it. Click Ok.
  3. Click next.
  4. On the right hand side several different styles for your presentation will appear. When you choose one, the style format will appear on the left. Choose a style and click next.
  5. Click next.
  6. Click Create



Options to Change Slide Show format

 

  • Adding Slides
  • Go to format on the menu bar and scroll down to Document.
  • Change the number of pages down on the lower right hand side of the window that appears.
  • Click OK.

     
  • Changing your Master Slide
  • Go to Options on the menu bar and scroll down to Edit Master Page.
  • Make the changes you want by clicking on the objects you want to move or delete.
  • Go to Options and scroll to Edit Master Page to go back to changing your slides.


     
  • Adding a URL link
  • Highlight the information that you want to be linked to a web address.
  • Go to Window on the menu bar and scroll down to Show Links Palette.
  • Click on the small bar on the window that appears and scroll down to URL links.
  • Click on Links and scroll down to New URL links.
  • Type in the web address for the link you will be creating in the box labeled URL.
  • Click OK.

  • Slide Show Options:
    To run your slide show you must go to Window on your menu bar and scroll down to Slide Show. A window will appear which will give you several different options as to how your slide show to run and look. The following is an explanation to each of those options.

    • Fit to Screen will fit your presentation to the entire screen.
    • Center-will center your presentation on the screen.
    • Show cursor will show your mouse and cursor while your presentation is running.
    • Fade will fade the screen as it moves from one slide to another.
    • Loop will return to the first slide and run the entire presentation again in an endless loop until you manually end the slide show.
    • Advance Every will automatically advance the slides according to the time you set otherwise it will advance the slides whenever you click your mouse.
    • Background allows you to choose a background for your presentation if you did not choose one of the styles in the assistants.
    • Border allows you to choose a background color or texture for the sides of your slides.
    • Auto play will automatically play advance your slide according to whatever time you set in the Advance Every option.

    Once you have set your options, click start to run your slide show.
